im interested in making something similar are the assets available for use?
Yes, you can use them, you can find them in the github repo: https://github.com/JuDelCo/Shmup-AAA-plus
For some reason X button to start didn't work. I'm in Firefox. Maybe the plugin wasn't installed?
There is no need to install plugins. Firefox should work out of the box.
Try pressing the "X" key in the keyboard
That's what I meant - pressing X on keyboard didn't work for me
